We have a rule in our house that the family room (upstairs) has to be clean before bedtime or whatever is left out will be thrown away. Tonight it was a MESS, as Mason recognized...here is part of his bedtime prayer:
"Please bless Robomom to protect the family room so nothing gets thrown away."
Sad to say she wasn't able to stop me.

Most kids make gingerbread houses, but, okay!
Mason: Can I build a gingerbread heater?
Me: Um...sure.
Mason: I need to start downstairs. I need to see all the parts of it so I can draw it. (he goes downstairs) Let's see...I need yellow, black and gray. Also the outsides of the heaters are white. (sings as he works)

Catch a falling star...
The kids and I were listening to the song, "Catch a Falling Star" a couple of days ago...
Catch a falling star
And put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away.
I was at the computer and overheard Elise giggling because Sammy was taking the star stickers off of our world map that hangs on the wall (we put star stickers up where people we know are or have been). A few minutes later he came over to me, and while patting his pocket said,
"I have stars in my pocket!"

Robomom
Mason has fallen in love with a book called "Baby Brains and Robomom". In the book, the baby creates a robot and calls her "Robomom", and she does all the housework so that his parents won't be so tired.

We have been saving boxes for weeks so that Mason could make Robomom. At last, today, while Elise and I were out, the boys at home created Robomom.

When I got home and saw their amazing creation, I asked Mason if Robomom would do the dishes for me. He replied,
"NO! It's RoboDAD!"

Supply Chain Case Competition
In November, I participated in the FedEx Logistics Case Competition with five other students. Some of the best supply chain schools from the country were there, and we ended up winning the competition. Here is the write-up that the Marriott School did on the event:
