Tortillas--with a "C"

Last night we had the elders in our ward over for dinner (these young men are fantastic elders, and I love them like brothers--funny because their first names are Jeff & Treavor) and I made Cafe Rio pork salad for a special treat. I even *gasp* made tortillas. I rolled them and patted them and fried them in a pan. They were incredibly tasty, but not anywhere near circular. One of the elders requested a second one, but just a small one, so we dug through the pile and found a smallish one that sort of looked like the letter "C". I passed it to him and while he sang the "C is for Cookie" song I said, "Because in Spanish 'C' is also for 'tortilla'."

Stephen looked at me wide-eyed and said, "Really? 'Tortilla' starts with 'C' in Spanish?"

There was a moment of silence where you could see the wheels turning in his head. Then everyone (including Stephen) burst into laughter.
