5 each - plates, napkins, cups, forks, knives
3 - hungry children
10 - freshly washed strawberries, across the table from the 3-year-old
2 - cups fresh, hot syrup
1 - syrup container with the 1" diameter lid open
1 - 3-year-old reaching across the table to get said strawberries
1 1/2 - cups fresh, hot syrup spilling over table onto floor
You want clean? Clean up syrup!!!

oops! You have to love memories like those ones that all you want to do is scream and then step back and think, "they're just kids for a moment."
Oh no!!! What a mess. What a cute way to tell the story and good way to look at it! Just be glad that you aren't in our summer apartment where there is white carpet in the dining room and light cushions on the dining room seats. NOT a good combo with 2 messy eaters...maybe I should make that 3 messy eaters! :)
Glad no one was burned. Sorry for the mess. At lease you have a clean floor now :).
