Okay, Elise is how old? 7 1/2. That means she was born 7 1/2 years ago, right? Right. Guess what I got in the mail today? A reimbursement check from my health insurance from 7 1/2 years ago!
Here's another thing. Stephen and I have been keeping very strictly in our budget (it's kind of easy when there is no money :o), but had an unexpected brake-replacement cost today. I should have remembered that they needed to be replaced...but didn't, hence the unexpected part.
And here is where those things come together.
Reimbursement check: $231.32
Brake replacement cost: $228.98
Coincidence? I think not. Tender mercy? Yeah, pretty sure about that one.

You mean we're not the only ones who get crazy reimbursment checks in the mail right when we need them? :)
A couple of weeks ago, we got a check from BYU's financial aid center saying that they had made a mistake in figuring out what we qualified for, the next day we got a check from an auto insurance company for an accident that James was in last year (he was rear-ended)and we thought had already been resolved, the next day a check from a rebate I had sent in a LONG time ago and totally forgotten about, and a check from my parents - just because. It came to a sizeable amount...right when it came time to pay off the rest of my fees for the birthing suite and midwife. Heavenly Father really does look out for us, doesn't He? :)
Wow how neat. I love those tender mercies don't you.
Oh, that's cool! Just when you needed it. :) I love that story!
great testimony...don't forget to share that with your children.
Awesome.
Awesome Claire. And you even have $2.34 left over for an ice cream cone!
those "coincidences" make life worth it, especially in the crazy moments. That's awesome, Claire.
Thanks for sharing. It helps us remember the hand of God in all our lives.
Reimbursement Check - 231 dollars
brake replacement cost - 228 dollars
Knowing the Lord is watching out for you... Priceless... :)
When we are anxiously engaged in a good cause, and working for Him, he will move all things for our good. You are a very sweet spirit Claire...and you do so much for His children - no wonder He watches over you so well!! It never ceases to amaze me though how much we are loved and how beautiful these miracles are.
