Elise decided to add narration to a story that she drew, and the result is below (Grandma C--you'll have to get online so you can see it!). She wrote out all of our parts, scanned in the pictures, and after some practice tonight we recorded it. Some details you might want to notice:
The castle is made of marble. Get it? She spent an entire afternoon drawing circles.
The arrows show what happens with the different characters.
When the "bad mermaid" is introduced she is invisible--that is why she is wavy. She is also in a bubble the entire time, until she is shot by the guard (Sammy provided the sound effects), which pops the bubble and consequently kills her.
The jail that the mermaid is put in is half out of the water, and we all know that mermaids can't survive outside of water for very long. The idea is that it is a very cruel punishment.
There is a real tear in the mermaids eye as she gets to the castle.
It is best viewed in full screen. :o) That way you can see all her detailed art work.
Enjoy!
