Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was extra special because I got to spend it with my own mother and my children. In fact, Elise made us matching skirts! (Sammy dressed himself--doncha love the stripes & plaid?)

Mom had a doctor's appointment in Chicago the week prior to Mother's Day, so she came and stayed for a week afterwards--it was so fun! Everybody got a "Grammy date" and got to do something special:

Elise went clothes shopping (no pics)...
Mason went to Radio Shack and got some new components and thoroughly entertained Mom with his discussions with the employees there (no pics)...
Sammy went on a bike ride...

Lincoln went to the park and then out for ice cream (no pics)...
And Trevor had his very first ice cream cone! He thought it was pretty amazing.

Even a turkey came to visit!

Mom and the kids went on walks every day, we went to a Sheriff open house and got my garden in! That is really the one I am bummed about not having pictures of. It is quite incredible now--thanks to Mom's help!

Nice work on the skirts Elise! It makes me so happy to see your mom there with you. Looks like you had a great time with her.
